I met Gavin Stewart, the owner of The Pure Golfer, at the pro shop in Ter Arai, New Zealand. We hit it off immediately, talking about golf courses we loved, have played or wanted to play. When I learned that Gavin was in the business of organizing customized golf trips I decided to give him a try. My wife and I had played several times in Ireland and Scotland, spending the past two summers splitting our time between the two countries, but we had never played in England. I did some research and gave Gavin a list of courses and he took it from there. He planned every detail of a spectacular trip, including multiple Rota courses, gems in Devon and Cornwall, and numerous courses around Liverpool. He picked terrific, boutique hotels, with lots of charm (if not many lifts) and also planned days for us hiking in Dartmoor National Park and exploring the Yorkshire Dales ( meeting my wife's need to see the location of All Creatures Great and Small). Gavin took care of special details, like getting luggage and golf bags shipped to our first hotel in England since we were going on a river cruise in Central Europe before golf, and followed up with me every step of the way. When I gave him feedback on hotel parking issues he immediately researched the parking for the remainder of the hotels on the trip and sent me detailed instructions to ease our way. In short, Gavin listens to our needs, responds in a timely manner, and is not satisfied with just"ok". I have used several trip planners previously, but none offer the customized, personal attention, that Gavin provides. He clearly cares about, and understands, customer satisfaction. When he doesn't know something, he says so, then does research. Few people respond like that. I feel so comfortable with Gavin that my wife and I have already given him the go ahead to plan 3 more extended trips over the next year. In short, The Pure Golfer is a pure gem.

What a beautiful two weeks we’ve had in Australia celebrating our 47th anniversary! Gavin has been delightful to work with, planning and executing all the details that made this trip a memorable experience. From the moment we arrived, Gavin had our driver waiting for us. He made sure to book the best hotels with rooms with exceptional views, reservations at the best restaurants along with securing the perfect tables, plus arranging tee times at Australia's finest golf courses. We played 13 rounds of golf at spectacular courses in Melbourne, Mornington Peninsula & Sydney. One of the highlights of our trip was seeing Kangaroos on our anniversary.
